Studio Design

One mark, drawn to be readable at sixteen pixels and at three metres, and a system of exactly four rules. The constraint was deliberate: a small studio needs an identity it can apply itself, on a Friday, without asking anyone.

A three-person studio needed an identity that would hold up as they grew but not cost more than their first two months of revenue. The usual forty-page system would have been unusable as well as unaffordable.
